Meet Lori Carpenter, Founder
Experience, Local Knowledge, and a Personal Approach
Salem Elder Care was founded by Lori Carpenter, a geriatric care manager with a master’s degree in gerontology and a deep connection to the Winston-Salem community. Lori combines professional expertise, practical experience, and knowledge of local resources to help older adults and their families navigate the changing needs and decisions that can come with aging.
Her work is grounded in a comprehensive, whole-person assessment that brings together each client’s needs, circumstances, values, and goals. Salem Elder Care has no financial ties to the facilities, agencies, or providers Lori recommends, allowing her to offer objective recommendations based on each client’s individual situation and priorities.

A comprehensive assessment considers the many factors affecting an older adult’s well-being and creates the foundation for a care plan grounded in a thorough understanding of the person’s strengths, needs, priorities, and support system.
